DAY ONE: Full Day
A morning drive from Club to Malindi a historic town.
On arrival a cruise in a glassbottom boat visiting one
of the very best Marine Parks in Kenya (Malindi Marine
Park) an area that fishing is prohibited watch the beautiful
corals and the lovely coloured fish you can feed while
snorkeling or by viewing through the glass.
After lunch there are visits to the
Falconry, Snake Park and shopping opportunity - enroute
home. Visit the ancient ruins of Gedi found in the lost
city of Gedi. Return to Club in the early evening.
DAY TWO: MOMBASA AND NATURE
TRAIL -Full day
A morning tour of Mombasa
including visits to Fort Jesus, the Old Town, the Old
Harbour, call at the Akamba Handicraft biggest wood
curving industry in Kenya - you still have a good opportunity
for souvenir shopping.
Your lunch stop will be
on your way to Haller Park formally the Bamburi Quarry
Nature Trail where different types of animals are seen
e.g. Crocodiles, Hippos, Large Tortoise, Giraffes, Snakes
and many more. Catch up with the feeding time before
driving back to the Club.
DAY THREE: THE
DHOW ADVENTURE (KENYA MARINELAND) Full Day Traditional
Arab Dhow Sailing
A chance to see dolphins
turtles and whale sharks. Let the Bajun Crew entertain
you in true Lamu Style.
Wet Option:
The dhow anchors off a coral-fringed sand bar. Time
for swimming and snorkeling.
Or
Dry Option:
Visit wood carvers, Maasai displays, traditional witchdoctor,
local cooking display, seawater tropical aquarium.
Lunch at a waterfront restaurant, mainly game meat barbecue.
After lunch Sail down the creek (inland waterways) seeing
mangroves, tropical vegetation, Baobab Trees. On board
the dhow entertained by acrobatic troops/limbo dancers,
fashion show, hair styling and music singing. You return
to your Club in the early evening.
DAY FOUR: SUNDOWNER DHOW - Evenings
Depart Club at 5.00p.m, leave for the sailing trip from
the famous Aquamarine Restaurant at the Mtwapa Creek
on board a dhow while sailing you will be entertained
by the Limbo Fire Eaters and The Acrobats, Hairstyling
is done on board, Fashion Shows.
The Sundowner as the sun
disappears into the bush making its way into another
world as you sail back to Aquamarine, Masaai Dancers
will be welcoming you back to the Tatty with big fire
flames directing you to the Aquamarine Restaurant where
your game meat dinner will be served unless you want
to try something different then seafood is the other
option at a little bit extra cost.
Drive back to the Club
in the late evening.
DAY FIVE: TAMARIND
DHOW DINNER CRUISE -The Magical Experience
This evening cruise
is aboard the graceful dhow "Nawalikher",
which translates as "Gateway to Heaven". You
sail down Tudor Creek enjoy cocktails as a local guide
points out the sights. The highlight of the evening
is a four-course dinner with a choice of seafood or
meat, accompanied by the dhow's band.
DAY SIX: WASINI ISLAND AND KISITE - Full Day
A mornings goggling in Kisite Mpunguti Marine Reserve.
All equipment is supplied but you should carry your
swimsuit and good shoes.
Soft drinks and refreshments
are served on board a fresh seafood lunch in a traditionally
styled Arab restaurant on Wasini Island (a typical Coast
Muslim Village, so swimwear should be covered to avoid
embarrassment).
In the evening you transfer
back to your Club.
DAY SEVEN: NGOMONGO
VILLAGES - Half Day
A collection of ten drives Rural Kenya Tribal Homestead,
each complete with hut, cultivated crops, domestic and
wild animals. Each village has tribe specific activities
for you to engage in, including archery, rafting, tasting
tribal foods and liquor, trekking, hook fishing, grinding
and pounding maize.
With a variety of tribal
dances display at the end of the trek through the village
household you get that all knowing feeling that you
have literally walked throughout rural Kenya in only
11/2 hours.
